It all started with dinosaurs; blame the bones at the Museum of Natural History in NYC. Julian Tejera has always enjoyed whimsy and story-telling, and so in 2008 he graduated from the Art Institute of Boston at Lesley University with a BFA in Illustration.
However, realizing that his interest in narrative lay mainly with the human figure he changed his course towards fine arts. Working primarily in oils for painting and graphite for drawing he now devotes his time to mastery of the human form.
Julian is currently pursuing his MFA in painting with the Academy of Art University.
